Audry Van Houweling, PMHNP-BC

Owner, She Soars Psychiatry, LLC

At the heart of She Soars Psychiatry is a bold, compassionate vision: that emotional wellness is not just about symptom management, but about understanding the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Founder Audry Van Houweling, a board-certified nurse practitioner since 2012, brings over a decade of experience across community mental health, residential, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric settings. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of mental health concerns, including challenges with mood, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, neurodivergence, substance abuse, and reproductive psychiatry.

Through years of practice, Audry came to recognize a critical gap in mainstream psychiatry: while medications can offer important symptom management, they can fail to address the deeper, interconnected roots of mental health struggles. She believes true healing lies in a more expansive, integrative approach—one that acknowledges the value of conventional psychiatry, but also the profound connections between physiology, restoration, nourishment, genetics, connection, and environment.

She Soars Psychiatry was founded on the belief that mental health conditions are not always lifelong labels. Audry champions non-invasive, personalized strategies—like functional nutrition, activity  recommendations, evidence-based supplementation, lifestyle coaching, and mindfulness—that can empower individuals, especially women and girls, to reclaim their agency in their journey of emotional wellness. With specialized training in functional medicine and womens health, Audry brings a deeply informed and holistic perspective to her work.

Driven by a genuine passion for helping others thrive, Audry infuses her practice with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each patient’s journey. When she's not in the clinic, you’ll find her enjoying the company of family & friends or enjoying the great outdoors—horseback riding, hiking, running in the woods, or soaking up the beauty of the American West.
